The C5 Ghost Chronicles
About three weeks ago, I was driving along C5 road at 3am when I noticed a boy making a dash for the other side of the road. He completely vanished by the time he was in the middle of the road. I thought I was hallucinating being so sleepy and all but that wasn’t the first time I saw something like that happen along C5.
You see, C5 albeit being a populated area, teems with ghosts at night. It’s probably because of the numerous hit and run accidents over there.
Let me tell you another story.
I was driving around 4am when I noticed a passenger jeepney driving a little bit slow, probably around 25kms/hr. Ok, that is really slow and highly unusual for jeepneys. If you live in Manila, you’d know that jeepney drivers here feel like they’re in some sort of Grand Prix race all the time!
I tailed behind the jeep, curious as to what the driver’s up to. I noticed another unusual thing. At 4am, the jeep had about 20 passengers.
I thought to myself these people are probably in no hurry to get to wherever they’re going. The jeepney was really slow. I noticed the lights were on inside the jeepney’s passenger cabin and that some of the passengers were staring outside, staring at nothing.
I decided to overtake as I was going to be late for work. When I sped almost past the jeepney, I decided to step on the gas and drive as fast and as far away as I could from it. It was because of what I saw. Actually, it was more of what I didn’t see.
When my car overtook the jeepney and as I was passing by it, I glanced at it and noticed there wasn’t a single passenger inside the cabin. I swear to God, there were people inside the jeepney when I was tailing it! It’s not unusual for me to see ghosts. I’ve been seeing ghosts since I was a kid. I completely freaked out because the driver didn’t even know what he had inside his cabin and I had this horrible feeling that as my car sped past the jeepney and although I didn’t see anyone inside the cabin, they were all looking at me and my car. I had to get out of there because I was thinking what if they decided to ride with me instead?
I was completely horrified. I didn’t even want to look at my rear view mirror. I didn’t want them inside my car. I’ve never driven so fast in my entire life. When I got to the office. I parked my car in haste and got out, not even wanting to look behind me for fear of seeing someone or something sitting in my car. My friends at work said I was completely pale when they saw me that day.
